T4 bodies with Heavy Armour and GW + high l/ship makes them very difficult to break and with step up they now dish out a lot of punishmentBloomfield Cricket Clubhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17638828532075913255noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6065491601593693979.post-10730335644413625702011-01-14T16:46:55.808-05:002011-01-14T16:46:55.808-05:00Yeah I'm catching your groove ;)

See what I'm getting at? Your Ogre army isn't going to win by shooting or magic, so it needs a close combat based game plan.Nikephoroshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14484058926496438148noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6065491601593693979.post-5842472663044580332011-01-14T11:57:48.357-05:002011-01-14T11:57:48.357-05:00As an Ogre Kingdoms player for the last year of 7t...As an Ogre Kingdoms player for the last year of 7th Edition, the Movement Phase was where 90 percent of my strategy took place. Though perhaps the word tactics is better suited, since strategy can include your army build.

The sad fact is Warhammer 8th is won by lists, not tactics. I still love the game, but it's not as satisfying as it once was.Reynorhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06991559221052980222noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6065491601593693979.post-79449568831610199462011-01-14T07:35:55.165-05:002011-01-14T07:35:55.165-05:00I didn't forget the movement phase. The movement phase can help with your other strategy, but it can't BE your strategy.

Alas, I think balanced lists in Fantasy are not very competitive now, if they ever were. Either your army is built to win in close combat (taking into account thats what most enemy armies will be built for too) or it's built to win in the other phases with CC elements to mop up.Nikephoroshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14484058926496438148noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6065491601593693979.post-65148478157744280902011-01-14T05:18:45.273-05:002011-01-14T05:18:45.273-05:00Don't forget the movement phase. Though it matters far less in 8th edition, it still matters.

I'm not sure I agree with the idea that Fantasy armies need to do one thing really really well. I hope it's not true. Does that mean we will see the end of all-comers lists?Reynorhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06991559221052980222noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6065491601593693979.post-42338773586307557672011-01-12T15:33:21.241-05:002011-01-12T15:33:21.241-05:00wow... word verification on last comment was '...wow... word verification on last comment was 'table'

odd as shit...zealothttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10722437512454839123noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6065491601593693979.post-26241855822709365272011-01-12T15:33:00.600-05:002011-01-12T15:33:00.600-05:00best blog I've found in a while!best blog I've found in a while!zealothttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10722437512454839123noreply@blogger.com
